Black Sea Region
The Black Sea region is in north of Turkey. The weather is almost always, rainy especially in the Summer months, which results in a lush green environment. The most popular cities in this Region are Trabzon, here you will find the Sumela Monastery, Ayasofya Museum, Ataturk Pavilion, Cal Cave, Uzun Lake (Long Lake), Alindere National Park , and more; Amasra City where you will find Amasra Castle, an ancient theater, Cekiciler Bazaar, and Genoa Castle; Rize , which is famous for their plateaus - the most famous being Alzer Plateau where you can go hiking; Safranbolu where you will see many famous houses and feel as though you are traveling through an open air museum, you will also want to visit Cinci Inn and Turkish Bath, Hidirlik Hill, and Arasta Bazaar; and finally, Bolu City where you can visit Abant and Golcuk Lake and take in the beautiful scenery.
Eastern Anatolia Region
In this Region you can visit many archeological sites. The most famous cities in this region are; Erzurum city, here you can visit the Twin Minaret Madrasah, the Three Domes (Uc Kumbetler), the Tortum Waterfall and take purchase a gift made of a precious stone named Jet (Oltu Stone); Kars City, here you can visit the Ani Ruins and Kars Museum; Agry City where you can visit the Ishak Pasha Palace; Bitlis City where you will find the Ahlat Cemetary; and Van city where you can visit Van Castle, Van Lake , and Ahdamar Island.
Southeastern Anatolia Region
This region’s History dates back to 7000 BC. This is where Mesopotamia once thrived, bbetween the Dicle and Firat Rivers was. The most famous cities are Gaziantep, where you can visit Zeugma Museum, Gaziantep Castle, and Yesemek Open Air Museum; Sanlyurfa - the city of prophets- where you can visit a fish filled lake, Sanliurfa Castle, Rizvaniye Mosque, Bedesten Bazaar, and Gobeklitepe; Harran, which is a plane without any kind of trees because the landmass is entirely made of stone - in summer it is very hot and winter very cold. This region is in South of the Turkey. This is a popular place to visit in the summer because of its many famous beaches and ancient city sites. Central Anatolian Region
The Central Anatolian Region has a long history and a great deal of nature too. It can be found in the Middle of Turkey. The first place that you need to visit here is Nevsehir-Cappadocia. You will see the splendid natural wonders and the open air museum of Goreme, as well as Underground City. You can also do a hot-air balloon tour of the area. In Istanbul you can visit the Old City, the Bosphorus, the Golden Horn, Taksim and Beyoglu, Kadikoy, many beautiful mosques, churches, and museums. Istanbul is the most popular city to visit in Turkey. Also in the Marmara region is Canakkale, where you can visit Gallipoli and Troy. In Bursa , the capital of the Ottoman Empire, you can visit Uludag Mountain, the Grand Mosque, the Green Mosque, the Covered Grand Bazaar and silk Market, and see the beautiful greenery. In Edirne city you can visit Edirne Castle, Selimiye Mosque, Alipasha Bazaar, Rustempasha caravanserai, and the Mosque with three Serefes.
